The newest working group within our association is the video group. We have been in existence since November 2021. Our main aim is to inspire children and young people in particular to engage with new media. So far, in collaboration with Offener Kanal Stendal, we have produced the film “Auf den Spuren unserer Zeit” (In the Footsteps of Our Time). Video enthusiasts of all ages, from 7 to 70, produce short videos about cultural life in the region and share them on the ‘HDL-Kultur’ YouTube channel. We’d be delighted to welcome more people interested in joining the working group.

We are
currently working on several topics. The video on the theme ‘Senior Citizens’ Garden Through the Four Seasons’ is in its final stages.

And, of course, it has become something of a tradition that, in 2026 too, footage was filmed at the district round of the Year 6 reading competition. The video clip will soon be available on the Kulturheimat association’s YouTube channel.

The young town reporters are also being filmed as they explore Haldensleben.
