The newest working group within our association is the video group. We have been in existence since November 2021. Our main aim is to inspire children and young people in particular to engage with new media. So far, in collaboration with Offener Kanal Stendal, we have produced the film ‘Auf den Spuren unserer Zeit’ (In the Footsteps of Our Time). Video enthusiasts of all ages, from 7 to 70, produce short videos about cultural life in the region and share them on the ‘HDL-Kultur’ YouTube channel. We’d be delighted to welcome anyone else interested in joining the working group.

We are currently working on several projects. The video on the topic of ‘A garden for older people through the four seasons’ is in its final stages.

And, of course, it has become something of a tradition that footage was once again filmed at the district round of the Year 6 reading competition in 2026. The video clip will soon be available on the Kulturheimat association’s YouTube channel.

And the young city reporters are also filmed as they explore Haldensleben.
